What I learned from watching "The Pack"

I rate this movie a 5 for the gore. Characters were silly and I couldn't relate to how dumb they were but oh well.

1) If your farm animals are continuously getting mauled at night by something ferocious, it's perfectly reasonable for a human to walk alone into the woods with only a flashlight after knowing this fact.

2) The bloodsucking money grubber always dies in horror movies

3) It's always a bright idea to open the front door to see who was trying to break in then turn around and leave the door wide open so <insert monster here> can leap in.

4) When watching your husband get mauled by a wolf, it's always best to stand on the porch with your kids watching the entire thing because the porch must be a safe zone.

5) It's always a bright idea to have your family sit in the back of a wide open pickup truck which wolves could easily jump into and maul them to death.

6) It's also a wise idea to get in a truck but instead of going for help, decide to attempt brainiac idea #5

7) When calling for help, it's always best to be as cryptic and non-descriptive as possible. That must be why the husband wouldn't tell his wife what was outside while she was on the phone with the police.

8) When help does arrive, it's best to leave the window down because the cop should be able to read your lips 30 feet down and 1000 feet away from you.

All good points. How about, when dealing with a pack of super lethal, determined and raging wolves, you make sure to hide your kids in a pantry with cheaply made, sliding wooden doors with no lock? Oh and of course this is after the mom and kids noticed that one of the wolves got into the house somehow. Did Mr. Wolf find the spare key to the back door, or did I miss something?

Point 10: I've been lied to by scientists who claim that the canine sense of smell is one of the most powerful and sensitive in the animal kingdom. Clearly not the case, it would seem. So long as you keep quiet (well quietish)and turn the lights out dogs cannot find your scent from as little as 10 feet away. Think of all the money wasted world wide on those useless police tracker dogs.

11) When covering your daughter with a loaded rifle (with the safety off ) it is best to put the cross hairs on her forehead.

12) If you see a snarling wild animal attempting to corner you and your kids don't attempt to back into the open door only feet away, instead stand still and wait for it to get closer.

13) The guy from the bank is an *beep* for trying to protect his interests and for expecting the family to pay their bills.

14) If a loved one is sneaking around with a pack of dogs searching for him it is best to attempt to call him multiple times just to make sure he's ok.

15) Apparently Australian Police Stations don't care if their personnel maintain radio silence for hours after investigating a home invasion.

16) In a crisis it is a poor decision to fortify your house and attempt to wait out the pack of dogs outside, instead you should go outside with them.

17) If there is a mysterious noise in your house with wild beasts roaming about it, go and check it out. Might be something interesting.

18) If you live in an isolated farmhouse in Southern Australia known for its deadly predators, only have one gun on hand. And very little ammo.

19) If you hear a news item regarding a couple killed possibly by wild dogs at their farmhouse, just turn off the radio. And don't call the police to see if you should take any precautions. Afterall, what you don't know won't hurt you.

20) If you have to take a piss on a deserted road, make sure to go way, way into the woods so nobody can see you. You never know who could be watching.

21) And who puts a door to the outside in their bathroom? Oh, yeah...these people do. And for the person who wants to know how the dog got into the house, I believe that was the way.
