After Tony kills Thanos along with his entire army, how could Thanos then even exist afterwards and beat the Avengers in Infinity War in order to trigger everything?
Remember how the rules for time travel were explained? If you go back into time and change something, you don't alter your own future, you create a branch in the timeline.
When Thanos learned about the Avengers time travel plan, that created a split. The original timeline has already happened-- Thanos got the stones, snapped, fled, was beheaded. That cannot be undone. However, there now exists a second timeline in which Thanos traveled through the quantum realm to Earth 616 and was snapped into oblivion by Iron Man. So somewhere there is a timeline in which the Avengers never have to face Thanos, as he was killed during his visit to the 616 timeline.
Right, that would make sense if Loki the series would not exist or if by killing Kang by Sylvie has effects on Kangs designed timeline, so that suddenly all deviations are possible there. So, its possible. Thanks.
The more I think of it, the more questions arise:
What about time manipulations, in general? Does Dr. Strange create a new timeline/universe by every time manipulation he makes? So, is there a universe where Thor is boozing tea instead of beer? ;) Is there an Earth destroyed for each time Dr. Strange is killed by Dormammu? Holy...
Endgame still works despite the Loki series. All it means is the TVA pruned the entire 2014 timeline that Thanos left behind, just like they pruned the 2012 timeline where Loki escaped with the tesseract
Until Sylvie killed He Who Remains, all of Strange's hypothetical timelines remain just hypothetical
No, its still a plot hole because time travel is impossible and there are no such things as aliens invading the planet, nor are there any superheroes. All plot holes
