Every scene with Captain Marvel was cringe-worthy

I actually like Brie Larson and Captain Marvel the movie, and find it hilarious how she has managed to trigger the MGTOW folks, but every scene with her in this movie was cringe. It's not surprising to hear that it was recorded before the Captain Marvel movie, and that the movies have different directors.

The ending of Infinity War and the Captain Marvel movie imply that she will play a huge role in Endgame, but she was barely featured. Sure, it's a very overpowered character which is hard to combine with other superheroes, like Superman in the DC universe. But the few minutes she appeared in all seemed forced and awkwardly symbolic. She came across as very dull, uncharismatic and out-of-place, and yet the directors thought it was a good idea to use her few scenes for feminist symbolism?
And what the hell is this scene?

Just what was it that made you cringe and what in your own opinion "creatively" would have made it NOT cringeworthy? How would you have wrote it or directed it differently?

I liked all the scenes that she was in and while I understood the fear and concerns of some that Captain Marvel would be the answer to all problems within the film, that wasn't ever planned and of course didn't happen. She came across cocky, brash, self-assured and overly confident. It also appears that all of those character and personality strengths will be flipped and become her very weaknesses.

To me all the captain marvel hate is just a fad, everybody is trying to be cool and fit in. She's powerful just like Thor or Superman. And she's a serious person because she a military person like Rambo or green lantern John Stewart. I have no problem with her.

It is an interesting fad, obsession, trend, faux outrage activity that surrounds Captain Marvel for some. Having read Marvel/DC comics from the Silver Age, Captain Marvel has a complicated and convoluted story. As the character is currently constituted and portrayed in the MCU I find her interesting but her journey is yet to be told so all of this angst by some is premature and misguided at best. I have no problem with the character nor the actress playing the character.

Like I said, I liked her in the Captain Marvel movie.
But she was different here. I get that the character tends to have short hair in the comics, and it's supposed to show her transformation into the new Mar-Vel, but this felt like a new unlikable character with no history. The charm was gone, Brie Larson seemed to have not found comfort in the role yet.
I wasn't surprised to find out this movie was produced before the CM movie.

As for the cringes, well to start off there is the scene which I Youtube-linked.
The directors are trying too hard to appeal to feminists and there's too much fuss about the fact it's a female superhero.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a feminist and I'm of non-white background, but it's painfully awkward when you see movies or ads try really hard to appear "inclusive", "diverse", "anti-racist", "feministic".

I would have her sport the same look as in the CM movie, show some human qualities, like in her movie, and have more dialogues between her and Fury and the Rambeaus.
But again, it's obvious that this was produced before CM.

I like Brie Larson and Captain Marvel movie too. I didn’t have a problem with CM’ scenes in the Endgame. Although I do think they should have just left her out completely as it was hard to explain where she was in the last 25 years. I mean Carol already had been on earth in the 90’s plus she should have bumped into the GotG gang in space at one time or another. I do understand stand why the MCU put CM in Endgame as they want to get people prepared that CM will lead the future MCU.
