She just said a few days ago she wouldn't be back for a while. How did she suddenly know the big fight was going on and she was needed exactly then?
Maybe I missed someone summoning her?
Maybe Fury was back to life for the big fight, and paged her like he did before he got dusted in Infinity War?

She said that during the briefing with Black Widow which is just minutes before Scott Lang arrives (and after BW's little chat with Cap who just came back from NYC AFTER the "5 years later") at the Avengers facility which is also just days before the final battle.
shareYes, but not a few days passed. At least a few months passed between Scott came with his theory and when the time machine was ready and the plan was finished. They probably reported her what they were going to do...

shareNo she didn't , before the 5 years passed she said that she won't be there for a long time , then she shows back again 5 years later during the final battle , we only see her in an hologram after the 5 years lapse on an another planet but that's it , rewatch the movie.

Just to set it straight:
After they kill Thanos no one talks about what they're going to do. You see Thor walk out the door and it fades to black saying "Five years later". Then the NYC skyline appears (Citi Field) and Cap has his meeting with some people talking about that one dude's date.
Then the rat saves Scott who walks through San Fran, finding the Vanished Stones with his own name (while actually looking for Cassie) until eventually arriving at his daughters house.
Then there's the briefing at the Avenger's house with CM being a hologram and having short hair now. They discuss some stuff (a suspicious ship found with help of CM, the tremors they can't do anything about) and then BW asks: "Carol, are we seeing you next month?", to which Carol replies "Not likely". Rocket then asks: " What? You're gonna get another hair cut?". CM replies: "Listen, fur face, I'm covering a lot of territory. The things that are happening on earth are happening everywhere on thousands of planets." Rocket mumbles:"Yeah… uh... that's a good point". CM to BW: "So for right now you might not see me for a long time." BW says the Channel is always open and everyone disappears leaving only War Machine talking about Barton. After War machine leaves BW starts sobbing when CapAm appears offering her to cook dinner but she's already miserable enough.

She said she wouldn't be back for a few months and we don't know how long it took for them to figure out time travel and get the machine all set up and everything. That being said, she probably noticed a surge in the population wherever she was and realized that the Avengers had something to do with it. She probably didn't go back to earth for the fight necessarily, but probably more of a debriefing of sorts.
