When the Avengers go to New Asgard to find Thor in his new home, the theater audience cheered when they saw his roommate (friend?), the big rocky guy? Why? I dont know who he is. And also, they cheered at the game or whatever that was on the tv? What’s up with that? I felt so out of it in that moment.

You, good sir, need to see Thor:Ragnarok. It will not only explain everything in that scene, it is hands down one of the greatest comic book movies of all time.

I did watch it. I’ll give it another watch when I get a chance. I only watched it once. I just happened to watch Ant Man before this movie came out, so any sequence he was involved in made total sense. I guess I should’ve done the same for Ragnorak.

Wait, you watched it and didn't recognize Korg? He's a key character in the film. He's the rock guy that helps lead the revolution, and escapes Asgard with Thor in the end. The little crab dude is his buddy. Korg stole that film! Rewatch! Rewatch! :)

When Ragnarok came out, Korg instantly became a fan favorite. In fact, some thought he stole the whole film. Naturally, many fans were hoping to see him in Endgame after he wasn’t seen with the surviving Asgardians (Valkyrie was confirmed to be one of the survivors) in Infinity War. So to the delight of many fans, this beloved rock character made his triumphant return in Endgame (along with his buddy Miek).

As for the game they’re playing, my audience also cheered for that. Why? It’s because they’re playing this game called Fortnite. It is a VERY popular video game. The directors of Endgame are big fans of it.

While I’ve never played Fornite myself, I am familiar with it. Oh and by the way... the game has a connection with Avengers. Thanos is a playable character in that game and you can apparently use the Infinity Gauntlet.
