Your choice for most intriguing/least intriguing characters in the 20 movie run of the MCU

Man it's been a ride for sure! With so many amazing interpretations of comic book characters, you'd think it would be hard to distinguish the surprising performances from those who disappointed, yet it isn't. Please share which characters you feel have really "stood out" in the MCU and which have not.

I'll start and I'm going to narrow it to 4 in each category.

For me, these MCU characters far exceeded my expectations:

1. Loki - never imagined the Asgardian "God of Mischief" would end up so complex and cool.
2. Iron Man - another character that surpassed my expectations. Tony is flawed but principled.
3. Captain America - ditto for Steve. Like Tony, a guy who wants to do right but is conflicted.
4. Thanos - a rare thing to have a layered villain who's logic explains what others call evil.

For me, these MCU characters have disappointed to one degree or another:

1. Hawkeye - despite showing up in Avengers 2 and Civil War, Clint needs more backstory.
2. Scarlet Witch - not enough detail on her or how she got her powers from the Mind Stone.
3. Vision - he seemed really powerful in Avengers 2 but since then, he's been dialed back.
4. Pepper Potts - she infuriates me and is constantly nagging about something.

Most disapointing MCU character award goes to....

*drumroll*

Quicksilver.

*applause*

Nope....that would be the Mandarin in Iron Man 3.

Ah, I forgot about him! In fact, I forgot everything about Iron Man 3!

Ditto that sentiment!

Least intriguing villain: Aldirch Kilian. He's yet another evil business man and yet another Iron Man villain who has a vendetta against Tony Stark. Also, his whole plan makes no sense and contradicts itself a few times over.

Most intriguing villain: Probably Loki. Even in the first Thor movie, I really felt bad for the guy. He's interesting in that he can arouse sympathy, anger, fear, and laughter in the span of a few minutes.

Least intriguing hero: Quicksilver. He existed so that the Avengers can have someone die and raise the stakes without having to worry about killing off a major character. It doesn't help that Wanda has pretty much forgotten about him since their debut film.

Most intriguing hero: Tony Stark. He seems to grow in every movie he's in, either for the better or, more often than not, the worst. Even in movies like Spider-Man Homecoming, you get subtle nods to his past that pays off if you've been following him since the beginning.
