After seeing the post credit scene in Ant-man i was thinking what if the movie came before infinity wars. What audience would have thought about the scene. Will it be spoiling the infinity wars or audience would have gone WTF is going on.
shareWell it wasn't for sure Infinity War would end with the snap - lots of folks thought so but no one confirmed it beforehand (other than Ruffalo's hilarious leak that freaked out Cheadle on camera).
So it would be a spoiler for sure.
More importantly, though, keeping it like it is increases the impact (and therefore marketability) of Infinity War. After two hours not thinking about it, we're reminded of it and all its wide-reaching implications.
Too bad the Marvel TV guy doesn't get along with Disney's heads - from what I've read, that's what's keeping Agents of SHIELD and Netflix's Defenders from coordinating properly with Feige at the MCU. One can only imagine what the market-impact would be if the Snap had affected those shows as well.
Then again, I'm just spit-balling. I have no idea whether SHIELD's crossover with Winter Soldier did any measurable good for either show.
I actually saw Ant-man and the Wasp before Infinity War, so at the post credits scene I was like O.O what happened, I just figured it was the science experiment into the Quantum Realm gone wrong, some people in the theater were like "Thanos..." "Thanos...." "Thanos...." but I didn't know what a Thanos was, having not even seen Guardians of the Galaxy.
So I was not spoiled.
I was very happy to get that unique perspective, where I saw the finger snap from a totally different point of view.
Since then I've watched all MCU movies and am now completely caught up.
Great! That is the perspective I was looking for.
