Loki sacrifices himself for redemption

YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST! Will happen this, or the next. I'm thinking our heroes will ultimately lose this battle, in the first movie, and turn it around in the second, winning the war. ;)
I think Thor and Captain America. Their stories feel like they're heading for conclusions, and the comics seem to set up storylines fine for a torch to be handed over. And I think the actors are coming up to the ends of their contracts, and seem sometimes like they're a bit bored with replaying the same characters.
