ya thats because of BvS.....
BvS was a trainwreck beyond Description that KILLED all Hype....Thats why there has been no HYPE for JL at any point Since....
there was only 1 hope for JL after BvS...WB had to Distance themselves and JL from Snyder....within 2 weeks of BvS opening, WB had to Fire Snyder, They needed to Publicly thank him for his effort but admit upfront BvS was not what they or fans wanted, WB need to delay JL, and Hire A new Big Name Director and get a New Creative Team, Had this been done pretty quickly after BvS came out, JL may have been salvageable, Hype may have increased again
But JL was Literally Doomed after BvS and as long as Snyder was Directing
Its also worth Noting A JL film no matter what WB did still would not have reached its potential, and the reason why is WB Sabotaged JL by releasing BvS first.
By releasing BvS first and releasing a Movie where Batman,Superman and Wonder Woman are on screen together, IT KILLED JL as an Event Film
That is why The Avengers Broke Records, Marvel Studios released Solo films first that got audiences invested in the characters, It then Made The Avengers An Event Film seeing all these heroes in the same movie together for the FIRST TIME, Hype was build to a fevered Pitch, The Avengers was the first "Team Up"
JL could have easily had similar success, and could have easily felt like even more of An EVENT FILM....BvS KILLED that, Audiences already saw DCs biggest heroes together in a film, and JL became nothing more than A Sequel to the universally Hated BvS
Had WB fired Snyder, delayed JL, got a new director and Creative team, and produced a good movie, JL may have potentially made 1 Billion
Unfortunately 1.5 Billion(JLs true potential) Was DEAD when They decided to release BvS first and KILL JL as an Event Film.
No property or Brand in the history of cinema has been misused and Sabotaged like WB has done with the DCEU
J.L is the single biggest missed opportunity in Hollwood HIstory....
