DC is in trouble
The trailer for Infinity War looks better than the actual Justice League movie.

shareWho cares though? DC and Marvel both make their movies the way they want. Theres no fight between them, other than the one created by critics.
shareThey are the two major comic book institutions. There will always be comparisons between them. And for the past 10 years the MCU has been kicking the shit out of the DC live action movies.

I know this is an unpopular opinion but I didn't like The Dark Knight.... =p
And Iron Man came out in 2008 so that's where I started the timeline.
You are more than welcome to not liking it Alan, I'm just pointing out that it was the last DC movie which was mostly well received and that it was nine years ago.
Should I bring up Iron Man II to refute the Iron Man starting Marvel being unstoppable in the last nine years to counter you?
I didn't think so 🤫
DC should have done the opposite and played to its strengths. Strong independent solo films.
shareThe current series has one strong solo film, I can't call that a trend.
And yeah, DC is in trouble, how could they not face consequences for the release of "Suicide Squad" and "Batman vs. Superman"? No sympathy here, if they couldn't get decent editors in there to fix those messes they deserve everything they get.
Which isn't to say that I don't think that Marvel isn't heading for trouble with "Infinity War". 25 leading characters and requiring the audience to know their backstories isn't a formula for success.
Its a sequel/continuation of a story going on 10 years by the time its released. After a decade, you should be doing the leg work yourself. All of the characters have had their time to shine in past movies so we all know the them. Unlike justice league that shoe horned in a bunch of characters and gave them next to no character arc.
