Oh no worries. I'm always chilled "down" if thats what the kids say these days. Not sure what made you think I was anything other than relaxed when I wrote that. It looks like a very chill response to me.
It wasn't. It was a hostile attack against the most vulnerable, which backfired. You're the one protecting this comic book trash and the giant corporations behind it. So you were projecting.
The anti-feminists I'm criticizing have no interest in corporate bureaucracy so why are you even bringing it up. They are claiming Captain Marvel is an exercise in extreme feminism. There's nothing vulnerable about people who campaign that something is about extreme feminism just so they can complain about it.
They're not exactly trying to lower the RT score. It is TOO early for that. But they can lower the User rating by preloading it with Not Interested in seeing the movie prior to release.
RT has a section that captures views of users interested or not interested in seeing the movie. It is one of the ways that the site captures data and charts enthusiasm that relates to boxoffice potential. Right now CM is charting at 69% Interested in wanting to see the movie which is decidedly quite low for this type of movie.
No one is saying that the two movies should be equal but they are linked by the MCU and a rather important and huge story element. Here are the current user reviews for Avengers : Endgame
Avengers sits at 99% which is pretty par for the course that most audience members tend to really tend to show a high interest in wanting to see the movie prior to the movie coming out. The 30% difference between the two movies is driven by the very large numbers of Not Interested to a rather binary question of Yes/No.
Most of the reviews are still viewable and a few of the offenders have been deleted or let's say censored. I'm not sure what the absolute criteria is for deletion or censoring is by the way. Plus I really don't care as a poster doesn't really have the ultimate and unrestricted right to post on the RT site.
Troll Bombing Captain Marvel is all about censoring Disney/Marvel and controlling the creative content by negative public opinion based on user preference and not based on Disney/Marvel creative processes or decisions.
IMDB isn't much better as the review/scoring system has been manipulated for years by puppet and sock user accounts both upvoting and then down voting based on moving the results across movies. For IMDb account authentication does not exclude multiple accounts by individual users no
preloading not to see is normal pre-release and is encouraged, its always done before release, after that it just accepts reviews
the problem is RT used to be a more active site before they removed comments after TDK fans. In the past want to see used to get 100k votes, now it can easy be manipulated with a few thousand votes
"the problem is RT used to be a more active site before they removed comments after TDK fans."
You sure about that? I remember IMDB having an issue with TDK fans and having to change up their system so that it wasn't so easily abused. RT might have had an issue with TDKR fans though considering it did well with fans but wasn't treated as well by critics early on.
Not really, because none of them have seen Captain Marvel yet. One can't say a movie isn't good/Not Recommended when one hasn't seen the movie.

everybody has there opinion. i am glad they are ruining the rating. super hero movies are gay i hate em. this one just as stupid as the last hundred superhero movies. they are all dumb and should have low ratings. hollywood need to stop making this trash and start doing new original ideas again...
The difference is Disney has been buying up and ruining existing characters. I was horrified at what they did to Iron Man and the Incredibles (and many others with its treatment of Star Wars).
