shareQueenFanUSA's arbitray and subjective benchmark isn't even a metric for those that dislike the character and I totally understand and think that CM has additional money on the table due to it only being in release for less than 60 days. Point being is that CM is following a quite normal revenue cycle without having to spin any results pro or con.
Seems to me that CM being seen as an overperformer detracts a bit from the planning and execution of Marvel's business team. CM was setup to succeed and I say that in the most positive sense. CM is a solid movie.
Carol Danvers is an interesting character on her own terms not merely to be compared or juxtaposed against other characters.
Marvel has done a fairly decent job in rewarding fans for doing a second look at their films by making their characters a bit deeper and not just serviceable. They tend to be quite unique and relatable but certain members of the audience are not quite ready for Carol Danvers which is why there is so much deconstruction of her and criticism, most of the criticism is negative.
CM doesn't have to beat WW or be like WW in order to be accepted or appear to be great. One does not depend on the other in order to rise and or fall and thus the nature of Sisterhood and or Brotherhood.
