You know, When the lead of your film looks like she either gassy, annoyed or constipated.
In every photo still. It doesn't make me want to see it. Should have gotten Emma Stone for this part.

shareNow that you said it, I think she does kinda look constipated
shareShe always looks that way. She's either got this snide attitude about the role or she needs to get over herself.
Being a part of the MCU is a HUGE deal! Feige and the brass at Marvel better impress upon her that she gets to be a major part of a massively, successful franchise. it's the most successful in movie history, so she needs to lose her bad attitude. I've seen the posts that she's made on Twitter. For someone who is in the spotlight in Hollywood and is obviously successful, she seems like kind of a bitch.
Guess we will see what happens. I can tell you already that if she keeps spouting off and saying crazy things, this will be an MCU movie I won't pay to see, Jude Law or no Jude Law.
Just because Brie is out spoken and says what on her mind doesn’t make her a bitch. Brie was this way before Marvel hired her. The top brass at MCU knew Brie before they hired her. Brie has always been this way it’s not like she changed after she got the part.
shareI'm sure she's capable. If she makes Captain Marvel a likeable character, then I'll give her props. It's on her though.
shareYeah, I'm withholding judgement until I see her.
And I'm not expecting sweetness and light, if she's being introduced as half the world's population has just been wiped out, sunny cheerfulness would be inappropriate.
"Just because Brie is out spoken and says what on her mind doesn’t make her a bitch."
Actually, those are two prominent characteristics of a bitch who isn't polite enough to know when to shut up, somebody who uses the cloak of female empowerment as cover for her ill-tempered manner.
So because Brie is a woman she can’t have an opinion that you don’t agree with.
share"So because Brie is a woman she can’t have an opinion that you don’t agree with."
That's a stupid conclusion and entirely your own. What I contend is very simple: some people use a claim of oppression to excuse obnoxious behavior. Believe it or not, it is actually possible to create standards for good vs. bad social behavior that most agree with, i.e. it's rude to constantly interrupt people, it's rude to scream at them if they're not screaming at you or otherwise preventing you from speaking when you have a right to speak, etc. You don't get a pass for that behavior merely because you're a woman (who aren't nearly so oppressed as advertised...).
Tell me, how often do you call men out for not being polite enough to know when to shut up?
Because I have this sneaking suspicion that you just might be ill-tempered and not polite enough to know when to shut up yourself. I mean, your statement above could hardly be called polite.

You'd be wrong. In fact, it is you who has descended into personal insults because you disagree with my point. And if you object to my calling a rude, loud, obnoxious, self-centered woman a "bitch" then too bad. It fits. I'm sure you wouldn't have any qualms about calling a similarly behaving male something just as ugly.
You are a strange, sad, little man.
[Backing away slowly...]
Can't stand Brie Larson.
shareI'm not sure if that's why I dislike her rather intensely, or if it's her sanctimoniousness. I just get a deep urge to punch her in the face. So yay, that means I'll probably automatically hate Captain Marvel, unless she does such a good job I manage to like her in a role. In which case, major kudos to her.
