...parts 2 and 3 were abominations.

Why can't writers just stick with what makes a classic book classic instead of injecting a bunch of nonsensical garbage into it?

I totally agree about part 1 being great, it had been a long while since I felt so good after watching a "pilot"

I disagree that 2 n 3 were abominations, but I found them to be way worse than 1.

Too bad, I thought this was going to be a show to be watched again, and it will just be forgotten.

Part 1 was great , 2 OK . 3 was ... a mess.

I all fairness that was true of the book but here it's SyFy's fault for adding that love triangle bs.

Last night I watched Childhood's End with much anticipation, but gee what a bummer the first episode was 😒 It was all talking heads bla bla bla but the so desperately needed suspense was nowhere to be discovered. The actors were OK but the script is no good.

I think part 2 is even better than part 1.

Part 3 is a disaster tho.
