How is Dawn Weiner still alive?
After being killed off at the beginning of Palindromes? I know Solondz got trigger happy with recasting all of his past characters, but now he's even going against his own continuity!
shareFrom what I understand, from reading interviews and what not from Todd Solondz, he wanted to show what a more hopeful life would look for her. He did acknowledge unapologetically that he killed her off in Palindromes...however, he took qualities that would stick with her over time, and that are the essence of her character, like not fitting in and being at odds with others and herself. That's what Solondz said in his interview with The Ringer. In a way, I personally regard this as an alternative universe that's just as real as the one in Palindromes.
