Hilarious movie, especially if you like Key & Peele

Was lucky to get into a screening on Thursday night and thought the movie was hilarious. I won't spoil anything here, but it is very much in line with the type of humor from their TV show. It's very cinematic, with well done action that feels like it's spoofing traditional action movies like the kind Michael Bay creates. Think Bad Boys or The Rock. Keanu is friggin' adorable and steals every scene he is in. The movie wasn't a perfect comedy, there were a number of jokes that weren't as funny as I think they wanted them to be, but the audience seemed to think it was funny overall. I don't expect this to be an instant classic of a comedy, but I imagine it will stand out among the other comedies this year. The movie already has a 75% rating on RT and I feel like that's about right for it.

All I can say is that I'm glad the IMDB credits are incomplete and I can only hope reviewers aren't dicks about spoiling stuff, because there are things in the movie that should remain a surprise.

Awesome, thanks for the spoiler free review that's all I needed to hear. Key & Peele are doing the best sketch comedy on television right now since Kids in the Hall, they're hilarious. It stands to reason that an entire movie based on one premise might not fit with their typical comedic style which jumps from sketch to sketch, but it's nice to hear that it hits most of it's beats and I'm really looking forward to it.
