Finally!

Not that I think Joe Dirt needed a sequel, actually I'm not sure what direction it could possibly go unless it's about the whereabouts of his sister or what happened to Charlie's remains while the Hemi was in impound, I'm excited to see more of David Spade's antics.

Also, I know this is going to have a tighter budget than the last one so I'd love to offer any help I can as a small time creature/props builder if anyone from the production reads this.

This is Wayyy overdue! I have been in pain to watch some of the other movies Sandler produced while this one which should have been obvious just kind of laid there.
It will be interesting to see how the budget factors in here. You have to have Brittany back for sure. I would love to see Christopher Walken back but not sure that will happen.
One sobering fact though... Many will hope for something as good as the original and it just isn't likely to happen. I will remain hopeful that it will be entertaining, but unless they have some supporting cast return from the original I think it will make it harder to be successful or even acceptable. Let us hope the budget isn't too tight and they get some original cast back. They can take the plot into a million directions, but without at least bringing Brandy back it's going to be tough. It's not that I doubt the talent of Spade, but circa 2000 spade vs 2014 spade speaks for itself. JD 1 was great. Dickie Roberts was great. Benchwarmers got a bit lukewarm and from there it has not been that wonderful.
I remain hopeful!

I just worked on this film. My first film role, actually. It was a lot of fun. I can't give anything away but if you're a fan of the first one (and other films like it) you'll probably like this one. There's some surprises, and a lot of goofy laughs.

Definitely worth checking out if you liked part 1.

Can you tell us who from the original cast returns other than Spade?

I understand, can't wait to see it. Its funny i was just watching Joe Dirt the other day and after watching it i was just thinking it'd be cool to see a sequel to it. Then i came on IMDB on this board and i was shocked as hell to see that they're actually making a sequel!

Its so weird that a sequel's being made after like 13 years, but can't wait to see it. Really hope Kicking Wing's back in it.

Can I have some of whatever you guy's were smoking because this movie sucked so bad I wouldn't claim to have worked on it and I work behind the camera not in front where I can be seen. I can not believe with some of the talent they had that it's so bad. A total failure. I didn't work this movie and if I had I would never admit it.

I feel cheated! I read the headline of your post and was expecting a bitingly funny list of stupid & funny reasons why America has been crying out for a Joe Dirt sequel...

I just learned how to use the "Spoiler" button...
