No kid Rock?
Why not
shareI'd love to see his character join forces with his past child self and Joe Dirt does the same and they all have a big brawl at the end reminiscent of Wild Hogs LOL!
shareI'm glad. Kid Rock is annoying as hell.
shareI have never been a fan of his, but he was sorely missed in this movie as the goofball they basically used to replace him as the other guy who wanted Brandy was a complete moron and it made for a really screwed up plot in that this guy was never even mentioned in the first movie. They could have at least recast the Robbie role with someone else and written the script around that when they had to touch on that area of recollection, but honestly that was one of the more pointless places the script went with this film. There was no need to invent this third love interest who somehow showed up that night and then supposedly causes Silvertown to become a slum. Real sketchy writing there on Spade's part. It would have been much easier and consistent with the history of the story to simply recast KR if he was unavailable. It's not like you couldn't find a lookalike with the same personality within 5 minutes of searching. But I shall digress.
shareThey got Mark McGrath instead. I guess they traded one faded rock star for another. Kid Rock was perfect for the first movie. McGrath didn't add anything to this movie. He didn't come off as a natural redneck like Rock.
If they had gotten Kid Rock, the plot in this movie would have meshed perfectly with the first. Instead of the disjointed feel that it had.
maybe it was because the movie centered on Time travel, and when one travels to the past things get changed..instead of Robbie fighting Joe as it should have traveling back changed it to Jimmy, quite normal for time travel movies
shareDiscount Kid Rock IS Mark McGrath...
