Why do people wait a decade

A lot of these films probably weren't going to have sequels. A lot of struggling actors just try to recapture their glory days with sequels to some of their better known films.

Some of the jokes are childish and dumb toilet humor. I don't think the cast is too old, though. Brittany Daniel still looks good.

Sin city 2 was a long wait.
Zombie land 2 was long,, but worked out.

The original was a bomb when it came out. Gen X for the most part dismissed it, (Tommy Boy was the gold standard for Spade)and it was a box office disaster. Newer generations took to it, not remembering or knowing the great chemistry of the comic duo Farley/Spade. Joe Dirt (01)took awhile to gain steam.
