Enemy, or Take Shelter
Any other suggestions?
Darling for sure.
sharetake shelter has the exact same blurb for a description as this movie..
Enemy, do you mean the 2013 or 2015 version...... are EITHER of them any good, they both look terrible at a glance.
Personally, I would consider Enemy (2013) to be a masterpiece and I don't use that word often.
But it is from the same director as Prisoners which you gave a 1. So it might not be for you.
Agreed, Robert.

Both Enemy and Take Shelter are great films. Other films about paranoia and/or involving broken characters I have enjoyed are:
Pi
Session 9
The Machinist
Shutter Island
Hidden (Caché)
Memento
Fight Club
I Stand Alone (Seul Contre Tous)
Jacob's Ladder
A Scanner Darkly
Having seen all those except "Shutter Island" and "A Scanner Darkly," I give your list a definite thumbs-up. "Caché," "Jacob's Ladder," "Pi," "The Machinist," and "Memento" are all very good (or great) films IMO.
shareAgreed. Love Enemy and Take Shelter.
Still need to see Session 9, Cache, I stand alone, and Jacobs Ladder
I did like this, and would include to your list:
Bug (Judd & Shannon)
Fever (Henry Thomas)
The Forgotten (which works well if you view Julianne Moore's character as schizophrenic, otherwise, not so good)
Through a Glass Darkly
Cookers
Black Swan
Donnie Darko
Vanilla Sky
Bunny Lake is Missing
Repulsion
The Babadook
Identity
Spider (Ralph Fiennes)
Movies that challenge the reality of what you're seeing or play through a prism of irrational paranoia are always engaging when done well. There's plenty more out there. Enjoy, for those who've never seen these.
Nice suggestions. Haven't seen Bug, Fever, through a glass darkly, or bunny lake. I'll add those to my watchlist!
