I think Cooper's entire memory will be restored in the last episode thus setting it up for the second season. The show is completely building it up to that one moment...

Sabrina Sutherland posted a while ago that they have renewal talks scheduled immediately after the series finale... Unless something changed in the last few days, I'd say things are looking optimistic since the higher-ups at Showtime are outright bragging about the subscriptions TP brought in.

If they don't renew it, all those subscriptions are going bye bye.

Lynch hasn't ruled out a second series yet. He said they hadn't planned one but if demand was there they would consider it.

Part of me wishes that he already has material on tape for a new season.

If not... at least give us a film.
