I would go far as to say that it is David Lynch's very best. Forget The Elephant Man, Mulholland Drive, Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, Lost Highway, Wild at Heart; I would juxtapose his work to that of quintessential paleo-noir - the hyper-presentiality of the early silent movies presented in the 21st Century
