Episode 9 SPOILERS

That was probably my least favourite episode so far. Maybe i'm just becoming a bit impatient because it's all so very sloooowwww.

I wished they could pick up the pace a bit, seriously. I mean we still haven't even seen Audrey for heaven's sake!

I only have a few of questions/points to make really. Please feel free to add more:

1. Why did Dianne receive Bob's message that read "Around the dinner table the conversation is lively"? She was actually expecting it, constantly checking her mobile. So does this mean Dianne is in cahoots with Bad Bob? Or did the message she receive actually from Jeffries, relaying Bob's message? I ask because Bob's message was in small caps, whilst the message Dianne received was in capital letters.

2. Bad Cooper: he still has Bob in him, right? I got no indication that he was 'different' after last episode's shenanigans, right?

3. So Bad Cooper wants the warden of the jail killed by no other than Tim Roth. Anyone have a funny feeling it's going to go wrong?

3. Seeing that maybe Audrey's brother Johnny is now dead, after he banged his head against the wall, could this be a good excuse for Audrey to come into the picture, when she attends his funeral? I flipping hope so!

4. So Dougey had a car accident 12 years ago just before starting employment at Lucky 7. So I take it that's when Bob 'manufactured' him, maybe by replacing the real Dougey by a fake one? It's also strange there's no records on him before the accident. BTW I wonder how old his son Sonny is...

5. So now that the Vegas cops have taken a secret copy of Dougie's finger prints (therefore, the Real Cooper).... will this FINALLY lead to them discovering he is actually Dale Cooper, a missing FBI agent?

6. Are there two different timelines in Season 3? I ask because I found it odd that the piece of paper Major Briggs had hidden in the chair says that in two days' time something was going to take place, and the date for this was 10/1 ....but then later we see Hastings (Matthew Lilard) sign the Major's picture and dates it 9/20? Or does this mean that somehow Hastings lost 10 days of his life, maybe by being 'possessed' by Bob or some other evil being?

7. So is Jerry Horne becoming the One Foot Man? lol

This was a filler episode with more "people staring at each other after they're done talking" scenes than usual. Lynch is testing our patience ;)

We did get plenty of information, but it mostly felt like summary of the things we already know. Sorta like cliff notes. It had some new information which you listed here.

1. Diane might be in cahoots with people from the other side, or possessed by one of them. The message "conversation around the dinner table" reminded me of their meetings as described by agent Phillips. They had meetings in the room above the Convenience Store, where they sat around the table and had conversations.

2. I have no clue why Evil Cooper hasn't changed now that Bob left him. He seems exactly the same. Maybe Bob is still inside him?

4. I don't think there was a "real Dougie" whose identity (like birth certificate and social security number) Evil Cooper stole. Evil Cooper didn't even bother to present Dougie like a real person with previous life, birth certificate and social security number.

5. Situation with fingerprints is gonna be interesting. They'll discover that there are two people with the same fingerprints. Finally something that will lead Gordon and Albert to the real Cooper.

7. Talking foot was the highlight of weirdness of this episode. πŸ˜‹

Yeah what's the point of having these long scenes with people just staring at each other. It was also testing my patience, I must say.

1. Yeah that's a possibility. Also notice the way she sat with her legs so spread open, like a guy would do? Who's to say she's not 'possessed' by one of these evil Lodge people, hey? Who's to even say that Dianne isn't a Doppelganger? I'm getting to think that all characters in TP have doppelgangers, living in co-existing dimensions, and time to time, they cross realities, orchestrated by the evil spirits in the Lodge to suit their means.

Mmm, I'm still on the fence about Dianne. We'll have to wait to learn more about her and what happened the last time she saw Evil Cooper. Because if she wanted revenge from him, it's also quite possible that she IS following her own investigation.

BTW, to tell you the truth, I don't really like Laura Dern as Dianne. I don't know why, but I imagined her different. Indeed I also don't like Christa Bella as Tammy Preston. I just can't imagine FBI agents looking, dressing or acting like her. Maybe they are meant to represent opposites of each other, who the hell knows.

2. Yeah think Bob is still inside him because if he's not, a) how come Evil Cooper acts exactly the same, and b) if he's not inside, where the hell is Bob? Wouldn't he have gone straight back to the Black Lodge? Please don't tell me he went inside Dianne.

4. Yeah, he seems to have been totally manufactured. I don't know how Bob could do that, seriously. One thing is to have several doppelgangers, and another thing is to 'manufacture' somebody. I don't know, it just doesn't make sense that Bob would have 'that' kind of power.

5. Yeah, finally...and hopefully just before Tim Roth tries to kill him. I just hope this happens SOON, because as much as I like Dougie, I'm also growing tired of him.

7. Talking foot was the highlight of the episode for me. lol. Is poor Jerry going to 'have' to cut his foot?

1. Good observation about her siting with her legs open. I haven't noticed that on first viewing. If she starts asking people something like "gotta light?" then we'll know for sure lol.

Remember when evil Cooper killed the wife of school principal Hastings? Before he killed her, he told her: "You did good. You follow human nature perfectly", which made me think she was possessed by something that pretended to be human while in her body. How could this have happened? She obviously met Evil Cooper before, and perhaps his presence is a conduit for people from the other side to possess humans of their choice. When Coop was alone with Diane, maybe something similar happened. In both cases, I haven't noticed any owl rings on their fingers, which would be the usual method. (I hope I'm reading too much into this and Diane isn't possessed).

2. Bob's gotta still be inside him. What happened was that those creatures managed to revive evil Cooper, and so Bob didn't have a reason to leave the body. That's my best guess.

5. I'm getting tired of Dougie as well. Fingers crossed that he'll wake up in the next episode.

As I have said before, I get the feeling we'll be stuck with Dougie for the whole season. We all want Agent Cooper, so Lynch will not give him to us.

If you break this down into separate topics then we can discuss them, either in new or preexisting threads. It's really hard to follow this when it's all just under the topic of "Episode 9" (though the questions apply across the series) and we have to wade through your twitter-editorial comments.

I think I'll write my own thread whichever way I feel like, thank you very much. Seriously. πŸ™„

I'll bet you think you're bold and confident because you do what you feel like. Well, also try being a little smart; there are others here.
