They're not showing enough of Twin Peaks

Funny considering the show is called Twin Peaks, we barely get 5 minutes of scenes in Twin Peaks. I'm tired of jumping back and forth from all these random states and then stopping for 3 or 4 minutes to show something in Twin Peaks then back to somewhere else.

I wanna see more of the original cast, i wanna see stuff going on in Twin Peaks other than 3 minute comedy scenes at the Sheriff's station.

This season is just a slow burner, I imagine that all roads from all the other stories are going to lead back to Twin Peaks eventually. Don't forget, they're still setting the stories up.

I agree. Hopefully we'll get more as the season progresses.

I agree somewhat. I don't mind slow burning but if they don't get another season we will be left with another cliff hanger. I hope Agent Copper snaps out of it soon...

reply

Yeah thats what worries me, it may go so slow and take so long to get back to Twin Peaks and to get Cooper back to his normal self, by the time it does the season will be over and we might not get another one.

I agree. Dougie is stupid imo. Maybe if it was shorter but it's gone on long enough. It's like a Rain Man version of Alf or something. It's something out of Men In Black part 3. Not Twin Peaks.

The last bit of episode 5 was by far the best imo. They got back to Twin Peaks and finally had some dialogue.

reply

I agree. Especially since most of what we do see is Lucy and that other idiot or washed up never was Michael Cera smirking through abysmal Brando nonsense. Countless scenes of Dougie acting mentally challenged while everyone around him are somehow oblivious to it except to shove him along or yell at him grew tiresome after about 5 minutes. Then again even that is better than Lynch trotting out his reshot outtakes from decades old movies. Of course the drooling Lynch sycophants would be happy watching their God David poop on a floor and play with it.

They would insist it was a BRILLIANT "slow burner" and then order a golden shovel to eat it with.

I liked michael ceras role. It took me a minute but i thought it was pretty funny that he was clearly dick's kid.

reply

I agree 100%. The charm of the show for me was the town and odd characters that live there. Im not giving up, but so far im pretty much living for the scenes in the bang bang club and sheriff's office. Too much lynch and not enough frost? It just doesn't have the same appeal...so far.

reply

Some of the appeal is there. It's just that they took Twin Peaks out of Twin Peaks. Something the other two seasons didn't do. The movie of course did. So while it's a nice change of pace it's time to get back there more even if Cooper doesn't show up till later. We did get a bit more last episode. I just hope episode 6 Copper finally gets his marbles back.
