The last 20 minutes....seemed too easy?

From the moment Clare and Billy are spotted by the lieutenant who sends Ruse to have them arrested, they manage to stay a good 10 minutes in the town and leave without anyone stopping them. Then they get back in the town at night, kill the Lieutenant and Ruse....and leave again, without anyone stopping or going after them. The movie was solid up to that point where I needed to suspend disbelief.

It all seemed way too easy. I wish they ended it better and more realistically.

That's a valid point, but I don't know if you have to take it so literally. Clare was having all these nightmares and hallucinations, so maybe we can just chalk up the ending as one that she might have dreamt up.

It did feel a little "Hollywood" for me considering how artful and subtle the rest of the film was.
