Good luck removing that duct tape

Man, when they wrapped the duct tape around his gnarled up arm, all I could think about was how amazingly painful getting it off was going to be... seems like it wouldn't even be possible to remove without damaging the wounds a whole hell of a lot.

I know it was a "in the heat of the moment" decision, but maybe the dude could have looked for some sort of non-sticky material to wrap the arm with and then wrap the duct tape around that.

i thought the duct tape was a great choice. if it can hold literally everything else in the world together, why not this kids wing? im sure he can have it removed by soaking his whole arm in oil until the glue dissolves...while on some strong-ass painkillers.

Well, he'll most likely be in the hospital, under a lot of sedatives etc. so he won't feel it.

reply

Maybe they can peel it off by sliding something like a knife between the skin and the actual tape (while obviously being very careful and using lots of sedatives).

reply

That's exactly what i thought. If they'd just torn up a shirt and put something underneath it would've been so much better for his arm I feel like.

I read that you can soak it in olive oil to loosen the adhesive, but I dunno.

reply

Its all sticky when the wound has started to dry, adhesive tape or otherwise.

reply

His hand was 75% chopped off. He would lose it anyway by the time he gets medical attention.
