I think I missed something. What was the significance of the baseball bat in Daniel's boot?
shareIt was from a previous crime and the guy was trusted to destroy the evidence. so one can deduce that the guy who was planning to elope was holding onto the bat to either use as blackmail or turn it in to the police at some point so the neo-nazis would be arrested and couldn't follow them.
