Did Not Understand the Planning on the Fake "Crime Scene" (SPOILERS)

Might of missed something but the boss did not want to have his captives in the green room suffer gunshot wounds. Since authorities might suspect that corpses supposedly killed by dogs might be suspicious if also shot up and full of lead. So the boss tells his men to use machetes to kill them then let the dogs gnaw on the corpses as if though the machete wounds would not be noticeable to a medical examiner or two. Dunno, I'm probably jaded from watching too much CSI.

He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians. Guy was an interior decorator.

This ain't Miami. It's some redneck small town. I doubt the authorities world investigate that much

reply

Hmm. That wouldn't play even in a small town. Knife wounds and dog bites are pretty different.

Same here. Have the feeling a lot of stuff went by me (maybe because so much of it looked like it was filmed in a darkroom). I didn't even get why the woman was stabbed in the head in the first place--the motivation had something to do with her planning to run off with some guy who wasn't her boyfriend...right??

reply

Yes. I guess that "Worm " guy felt she was betraying both the gang and his friend.

What I concluded:

A. Darcy was connected to the cops. That's why they let his huge drug operation slide.

B. Cops, even (or maybe especially) the FBI tend to start with a conclusion and collate evidence based on that. Unless there's a political or face-saving motive, they'll take an "open and shut" case that's handed to them like this.

Probably a combination of heavy case load and "close enough for government work."

So, I believed that at least DARCY believed the ruse would work. And it probably would have.
