Apatow and his nepotism

Bad enough with his wife but he is casting his daughter who cannot act. Enough is enough people

Didn't he cast his older daughter in This is 40 too?

reply

Both of his daughter were in This is 40 and they played the same characters from Knocked Up.

reply

So what.

reply

Learn the business. It's all about who you know. Been that way since the beginning.

I didn't realize that was his daughter. And I never thought "Wow, this person is awful" so it's really not a big deal. He's more than earned the right to cast whoever he wants in his projects.

reply

Yeah, I noticed she wasn't very good... even for a child actor.

reply

Hmm... I didn't think she was extraordinarily awful. Her acting fit in with the other performances, imho. But I do remember thinking: what a beautiful girl.... Not that Appatow's ugly, I was just surprised to read that he was her father here.

I liked her a lot! Thought she was really cute and funny and played the sullen pre-teenager really well.

reply

That's it. People shouldn't blame the actor for what the character does.

I have to interact with adolescent teenagers every day, and she was spot on.
