Gus' meltdown in the writers' room

I think this is the ultimate example of why Gus is so unlikeable -- we're meant to believe this guy has spent his entire life dreaming of becoming a writer on a TV show, it's the theme throughout the whole season with his character desperate to get his script looked.

He finally not only gets his script purchased but is allowed into the writers' room, and what does he do? When they bring up the idea of firing a girl he's boning, he has a meltdown, insults the show, insults the other writers, and aggressively tries to take away a girl's laptop - before then throwing it down on the table like it's a piece of garbage.

I'm sorry, but any modicum of sympathy I might have had for his character went out the window in this scene. I really don't know if I'll be tuning in for season two, because what started off strong in the first two or three episodes rapidly devolved into a vanity project for Paul Rust and he seemingly tried his best to make his character an obnoxious unlikable twat.

After ten years or so, I've finally changed my signature!

I find that the show needs to show off this horrible side of Gus. As much as I like his character early on he is pretty bland. Maybe get his character to come full circle and realize he's being an ass to coincide with Mickey's flaws also.
