Bertie is the only likeable character

That adorable Aussie was the only one I cared about. Claudia O'Doherty is a real talent - I hope she doesn't get caught up in the Apatow's nepotism and moves on to bigger and better things.

agreed!

I kind of like the onset Craft Services guy too

I like him too! He brought the much needed funny to the series. Hopefully he'll get an increase in screen time as the show progresses.

She was amazing. Everybody else was insufferable. Just awful people everywhere treating this saint of a woman like crap.

reply

Agreed. Every other character was a narcissist. Bertie was the only character with any likable personality traits.

Television is a vice; film is an addiction.

reply

She was my favorite too.

reply

She has the worst Australian accent ever. Barely noticeable at all until about every twentieth word she tries really hard, and I mean REALLY hard, to put an Aussie spin on some normal word. Don't work, maiiight. At first I thought she was from India, then Polynesia, then Iceland.

The running gag should be she's lived in 28 countries all over the world, and has picked up a little of the accent of each place: Now guess where I was born.

reply

The actress is Australian, so that is her accent.

reply

sounds pretty good to me. i thought she was actually Australian so it convinced me.

reply

wait, she IS australian. what are you talking about?

reply

The actress really is Australian, so obviously you just don't have the ability to accurately pin down accents.

Television is a vice; film is an addiction.

reply

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm born and raised in Sydney. Cammeray to be exact. Pine Street. My original post stands.

reply

I was also born and raised in Sydney and I speak exactly like her. She is Australian and sounds like one too.

reply

How in the world can you conclude that your post stands when you were completely proven wrong. The actress is Australian. Therefore she has an Australian accent. Whether you were also born there are not (and there's no way to know for sure) is irrelevant.

reply

So not only are you a person from Sydney you are also an ignorant person from Sydney.

reply

So you think every adult human being on earth speaks with the accent of the place they were born and raised? Especially actors? Craig Ferguson would like to have that discussion with you. Along with about a million other people.

Talk about ignorant.

reply

I've heard her on comedy show clips and interviews. Girl sounds exactly the same, she's really committing herself to the worst Australian accent ever if that's what you're saying.

reply

To be fair, she did live in the UK for a while and that could have had a minor effect on her accent.

Glad I am not the only one who found everybody else insufferable. The show has its moments; and the characters can be interesting...but man are they a bunch of jerkasses. Other than poor Bertie.

Yeah she was like the only decent character.

Lose the Game!!!!!!!

Absolutely agree. When her character first showed up, I figured they'd make her the nutty roommate. So, the way the show turned out, it was refreshing that they didn't. She is so charming, adorable.

She narrates the "Spies" episode of Drunk History, the segment about Virginia Hall, if you want to see more of Claudia.

reply

I don't think she is the only likeable character, but yeah, she is the most likeable. I really enjoyed watching her.
