I mean Hell is suppose to be for really bad people...killers, rapists, child-molestors and those types of people.. Lucifer might not be perfect but his heart is in the right place.. It would be interesting if he dies once in the show and ends up in Heaven..
shareI agree with you. He wasn't sent to hell because he's "bad". He was sent there because of a dispute he was having with his father over free will and it was a place where Lucifer could operate under his own rules, learn his lessons, etc. Each time he's gone back to hell there's been a specific reason. It's always been to help someone, and maybe that's the reason God lets him go back when he dies. Because I feel certain that if he were to really die, God would want him in home in Heaven with Him. Although it might be a struggle since Lucifer doesn't want to go back.

I have a bit of an issue with the whole concept of Lucifer dying given that he is not really human. Do angels have souls like humans? has Lucifer just borrowed a body to be on Earth? If has just borrowed a body why does he have scars from cutting off his wings? If it is not a borrowed body, what happens if the body dies? It appears that Lucifer the angel doesn't die - he goes to Hell. When he is in Hell he is obviously still an angel. The logic behind the mythology is all quite confusing.

In the comic, Amenadiel dies and he never comes back. But other angels die and they come back as dead angels who look and act exactly the same as before so what's the difference? And why do some die and others REALLY die? The show at least created Azrael's Blade to explain the permanent deaths, but the other part really doesn't make sense. I guess we can accept it as one of those religious conundrums and look the other way.
As for Lucifer's body. That's his real body, Joe confirmed that. It should be the exact same one he was born with, as in the comic, but the show decided to give the angels childhoods and change their birth order.
I can't think about that last stuff for long because it disappoints me. It's probably my only actual gripe about the show. I wish they'd be more careful with the show's canon. I mean shows like this that become legend with future generations of fans are shows that are pretty impeccable in their mythology. So far, Lucifer's given us a lot of contradictions without answers. But there's still time to clear them up and I hope they make an effort to do so.

Time in hell apparently runs differently, per Malcom in S1. So it could be hours/days/years or even decades or more that he's in hell but only a few moments on earth, so his death, in theory could appear no more than him taking a deep breath and holding it. Or not. I try not to think to hard on things that we really aren't likely to get an answer to.
But I would REALLY love for Lucifer to go to heaven once when he "dies" and run into dad for a bit of a chat. Just to freak Lucifer out. I can so see him waking in heaven and going, "oh crap!"

The first time Lucifer desired to get as far away from heaven/God as possible. I think it's likely he came and went and then one day he didn't want to go back. The second time was to show him "mom" had escaped.
What would be great is if we could have found out who is watching over hell now.
