The babadook, at least where I come from, was the equivalent of a PG-13, and that was great!
shareIt would've been R here in the US for a few reasons (though it is unrated). The killing of the dog, the stabbing of the mother, it has a few f-words, and its tone is just too dark for a PG-13.
