They cant even give away advance screening tickets
Usually a popular movie sends out one notice and the tickets are gone in a couple of seconds. I just got my third email about this crap fest and I sent it right to my trash folder.

It will flop bad. Stupid title, it's pg 13, no big stars. It's gonna be a snore fest.
shareI would definitely consider Carrie-Anne Moss and Faye Dunaway famous.
shareFor starters, I really don't understand why everyone acts like any and every movie when they hate it think it and everyone in it deserves to die by being slaughtered and rot in Hell just because they don't like it. Any movie is watchable and they still make it to the theaters so we need to stop overwhelming and drowning the message boards for the movie biz into floodgates and oceans of bitterness and hatred, it's all bad wherever it is. And finally, just because of your hate towards a movie based on previews you don't know if would be bad without truly seeing it, you threw away the opportunity to go see a free movie whether you would hate it or not? And sent it straight to the trash folder with disgust that they would even ask from the sounds of it? No movie is a pariah. At the most it will just be another of those teen horror movies that still blends and slips in with the rest perhaps as a throwback particularly to the 90's horror genre, which means it got a good enough distance to at least stand as a film in the landscape of modern horror and it made it to theaters, again, in a theatrical release, and to be made as a basic piece of horror movie entertainment any normal audience goer can just watch and like for what it is without overthinking everything and anything and that's good enough for some. Perhaps it just didn't go further into a groundbreaking horror movie you can't control over how great it is as if that's the point of every single movie to begin with, and they just wanted to make a horror movie based on an intriguing scary urban legend sound about a supernatural new villain called The Bye Bye Man with an origin that stems to the idea of not saying or thinking and creating a legendary new form of anxiety in the horror urban legend department. Even if it doesn't break open new grounds or crazy new boundaries, that all sounds good enough to me. Anyways, I've said my peace and I don't wanna get verbally assaulted on the message boards as I have most of my life by anyone and everyone else anyways, so I think I'm just gonna leave it with this. But seriously, with all due respect, the title of this post is just mean-spirited and cruel and savage, even with the kind of movie it is.
shareWow you must live inside all the time. If pointing out fact is THAT mean spirited to you, I can only assume you are the most sheltered person on earth.
