He got to see the movie for free on a free ticket, and now he wants to not only spoil it for others, and complain about it, but he is trying to make money from it with Youtube adverts. He should definitely be reported for this. It's crass commercialism at the expense of people who work hard to get people like him free tickets for advanced screenings.
Oh and meant to say, you are an idiot. You talk this way, defending an ungreatful jerk who is making money out of jerks like you watching commericals in his Youtube video. It's spam, and it's nasty...
You do know that movie companies give away free tickets so that you will TALK about the film with other people, and tell them what you think, right? This was not a screening where he had to sign a non-disclosure contract, this was only a couple days before the release. On top of that, he doesn't want to spoil it for others, or else he would have said it was a spoiler free review and THEN spoiled it for others. Anyone who want to know what is in the movie can watch his video, or not, since he clearly makes it apparent what is in his video. No one wants a movie to be bad, we all want the movie we go see, free or not, to be great. Unfortunately this one wasn't.
As for making money from youtube adverts, I have no clue if he has monetized his account, as I do not know him nor would I go watch the video since I have seen the movie and it sucked. But even if he has monetized his account, and is trying to make money off it, why shouldn't he? First off, he is creating content, which is an artistic endeavor in itself, just like making a movie is. Secondly, the movie companies LOVE publicity, any and all, it's way better than no one talking about a movie. Thirdly, the movie ITSELF is crass commercialism, did you miss that fact?
I am not defending him as much as I am pointing out the flaws in your thinking. I was going to say flaws in your logic, but there was no logic. I do not see what you would report him for, making content on youtube? Expressing his opinion? Not liking a movie you liked?
The definition of spam is irrelevant or inappropriate messages sent on the Internet to a large number of recipients. Since his message was specifically about the topic on the message board, it was very relevant. It was no inappropriate as he did NOT spoil anything for anyone, he just said there were spoilers in his review, if you cared to watch it. While his review may be nasty (I haven't watched it) it is his right to be nasty about something he doesn't like, especially something artistic and released by a major company that knows it will be judged.
Lastly, whether or not I am an idiot, I can spell both ungrateful and commercials.
