shareWell it's too late now with the long-overdue cancellation, but yes, the pants were a terrible mistake made, probably, in the name of erasing any sense of sexiness to female characters now. Supergirl, to me at least, is the short skirt and crop top look. I wish they'd stop trying to "fix" these characters. Either use them right or don't bother. To me there's an arrogance to the people who feel entitled to take a character or property and change it like this. It means at least part of the source material is embarrassing to them. Honestly, if you are ashamed of the source then go away and leave it alone. (I feel the same about Superman's red trunks being removed)

“The worst thing you can do is take a concept in comics that’s been around forever and “fix” it without regard for where it came from. Or ever go into it embarrassed. Never take any assignment where you’re embarrassed about the character and you feel like you need to fix it. It worked fine without you for a long time; it’ll probably work fine without you after you go. So just lean into what makes it work.”
