Im only through 13 episodes, but why would Winn want to stay or hang around with SG/Kara when he is so in love with her? She likes everyone around him but him. Time for that boy to fly. Just seems odd to me, self inflicted pain.

I'm also through 13 episodes.

I'm not sure why Winn would stay either, except maybe he realizes that Kara needs him to do the tech part so Supergirl can do her job effectively. He's able to transcend his feelings for Kara so that she can continue to help those in need. Pretty damn noble of him.

It is scripted that way for reasons only the show's scriptwriters know for sure. Just go with it!!

Because leaving over an unrequited crush is a stupid reason to leave. This isn't high school. He has a job. And he got over it, too.

It's one of the things I hate most about this show. Winn is obviously so well suited for her, but she is interested in everyone BUT him. WHY?! They'd be so freaking cute together, but no, any other guy comes around and she's into him. Makes me so mad.

Kara shouldn’t immediately get together with the guy she will eventually end up with. A Kara/Winn romance would be good around season 5 or 6, so the show can end with them as a couple, and possibly married.
In the meantime, both of them should be seeing other people.

Winn came off like karas gay bff to me..that was way more convincing than any potential romance between the too.

It's a tough situation to be in. He doesn't want to be out of her life completely. Plus, he has a good job at Catco. He also is able to help out Supergirl and the DEO. It will be hard on him to see her hooking up with James but he also encouraged him to go for it, so maybe he isn't as sour as one might think. He just has to get used to the idea of being in the friend zone with her for life. Or, maybe he's one of those that stick around, waiting for just the right opportunity.

Because you don't just quit your job because of friction between one of the people that works in the same office and yourself.
