To those that have read the book...
Just out of interest,how much of the story is science fiction based or far fetched? Thinking of reading but not into science fiction.

I wouldn't characterize the book as science fiction. There are some parts that aren't grounded in what we would consider to be commonly accepted science, but for the most part I would just call this a work of fiction. Primarily where it strays from typical belief is: telepathy and ability to talk to the dead.
