But definitely not all that amazing. Personally, I thought the way the events played out was kind of odd. The flashbacks didn't really add anything to the story after the 20 minute mark, for me. I got that she was a young mother and a bad one that had a problem, but I didn't think the extra flashbacks were all that necessary.

I thought there were only a couple dumb decisions made by the characters, but not so many where I was in utter disbelief. The monster looked cool. At one point, I thought I saw webbed wings on it while it was on fire, but I wasn't sure. That would've been interesting if it flew.

It's a good looking movie though, just not particularly different. It was a very cut and dry thin plot, which isn't always a bad thing depending on how it's handled. I'd give it a 5.9/10. Probably won't watch it again willingly.
