Pleasantly surprised by this!

I went in unsure of how it was going to turn out, and I was pleasantly surprised! It was fairly fast-paced and I really enjoyed watching the character development unfold onscreen (even though it was very hard to watch emotionally at times). Both ladies did a fantastic job. The mood was on point. I didn't find myself rolling my eyes at any of the characters decisions, and SO HAPPY that the monster was practical. I loved the simple premise of this. It is a throwback to monster movies but with a more modern twist. Gut-wrenching, eerie, thrilling and heartbreaking, this was a great movie I will choose to own on DVD when it comes out (I rarely buy DVDs anymore). Hallelujah!
