I'd expect at least a 6.7 overall. It's a well executed emotionally driven horror drama with an amazing acting performance by the younestg girl. Excellent atmosphere and camerawork and an effectively well crafted and somewhat realistic looking monster. Definitely worth a watch. I really hope it gets more exposure and positive feedback.

I agree. I thought the movie was very well done, so I was surprised to see all of the negative responses on here.
In particular, I really liked how the mother/daughter relationship was portrayed; it added an interesting dynamic that I'd never seen before in a horror movie.

Agree it should be higher, but unfortunately horror can't expect any better nowdays since they polarize audiences so much. A horror movie with an IMDB-rating close to 7.0 or above is extremely rare.
