The 2 most cringeworthy embarrassing characters - Splinter and Krang.

Every time i stream this i have the urge to just skip over to the next scene every time those 2 characters get their bit of screen time. The way that Splinter talks with everything being so philosophical, is hilarious. And Krang - oh my days, words can't describe how embarrassing this character is - not just physically, but everything he says and the way that he says it is awful and the way that he talks to that robot that he lives in - that whole entire scenario is embarrassing to watch, lol smh

I know they're from the cartoons, but it's still really embarrassing though.

Splinter was pretty much a non factor in this movie, they could have left him out and it wouldn't have affected anything..just a boring character. Krang definitely needed more developement...nobody had any idea what the hell he was or why he wanted to destroy the world

Splinter's my favourite TMNT character, but I have to agree, he did very little in this film. Just like the 87 cartoon, though.

And Krang is pretty much his 87 cartoon version, a warlord in a suit who uses his Technodrome to conquer worlds, except that he is smart enough to make Shredder his puppet and have him do all the work.

True if you watch it simply as just a live action version of the 89s cartoon it works fine...although April ONeal is more of a sexual symbol in this then back then and the Casey jones character is off a bit...otherwise not bad mindless fun

The first movie in the reboot series was the same way I thought. It didn't take itself seriously and I definitely appreciated that. This got a little more dramatic in my opinion, but still reminded a lot of the 80s cartoon because of characters they used: bebop/rocksteady, Baxter, Krang, etc.

I thought krang was awesome because he was true to his 80s cartoon character. I guess if you aren't a fan of the 80s cartoon version of turtles you would feel differently.

I agree that splinter was almost pointless aside from one inspirational speech he gives Leo.
