I think the only problem is that some parts may be a little too scary for younger kids. Not to say you should shield them from watching, I just think it's something to be aware about. When I was in the theater, there was a child that said several times, "mommy I'm scared." I say this as someone who watched The Prince of Egypt many times when I was 3 years old. Filled with plenty of frightening moments, but I still loved it. I'm not saying to forbid them from watching, but I wouldn't want to force them to watch something that's scaring them. I'd just close their eyes or take them out of the room for a little bit.
