Ryan

I ship Ryan and Cassie. I want the Doctor/Sam to either get together with the blonde chic or to get together with a character who has yet to be introduced on the show. I would rather Cassie got together with someone who doesn't need her to fix them, someone who is generally whole and is kind hearted and sweet.

I like their chemistry better as well. Like the scene where he was getting them a treat with two forks, and turned to tell her, "No, I am a great friend" and tonight when he was teasing her about, "Your doing that thing where you say it without saying it." He reads Cassie so well and he teases with her, and I think that is a better match-- in the long term. And they have a charm together.

There was some talk that they wanted to show Cassie was wrong at times, that she was getting a bit too saccharine. Someone who "gets" her & can kid her about her foibles and habits is a good thing. We won't get too much of this, since the show obviously sees Cassie as a good character, though at times she is a bit much. Hooking her up with someone who "doesn't need her to fix them" can help.

I felt this was a problem with "7th Heaven." There needed to be a better balance to the minister character, someone who would challenge him at times, but still be a good person. He was too much of a savior character who could do little wrong.

As to the blond chic, the last episode hinted that once she dialed it back a tad, she might actually have a shot at the doctor. She needs to be fleshed out a bit more to be a worthy companion to the doctor. Showing she has a bit of depth would be interesting.
