Lost it's charm.

Now I won't have a Good Witch movie to look forward to at Halloween unless the series flops and they decide to resurrect Jake. I'm having a hard time paying attention and the show has only been on 20 minutes. It looks like they're planning to get rid of George.

I am watching too. I think if I was new to it And hadn't been a fan of the movies it would be cute and I might watch. But it's just too sad hearing all the references to Jake being dead. At least they didn't do a whole different story and pretend the movies never existed . I think the daughter might get a bit annoying.

Seriously...I almost chocked seiing that actress who is playin Grace,i was just watching the first eps and I knew i wouldn't like her, not for an entire frame imagine a full 40m eppie! I cannot believe they chose her as Cassie's daughter! All she ever done that i know of, those roles of spoiled mean little gitrls, and now everytime I look at her or listen to that voice, i keep re-seeing those awful characters, very umpleasant and not a good start..Arghhh That girls does not look or sound gracious for a long shot. Shame! I hope they change the actress or i think im gonna pass! I loved all the movies and i wanted them to to do a series, but with the same characters...

The actress playing Grace is Bailee Madison. You should look at her credits. That girl has been very busy.

Damn right! I remembered her on some tv shows, she was younger than now, and so obnoxious,i could not stand her. Of all the actresses why her??? It is just a damn shame they got her as Grace. The casting directors suck as much as those from Twilight!CRIMINALS!!

It absolutely has lost what was charming about it. I was never a huge fan of the movies, but my mother loved them. We are watching and are very underwhelmed.

Totally agree! The series cannot compare to the movies. Very disappointed as a longtime fan of Catherine Bell and all of the Good Witch movies. I'll give it one more week but seriously doubt it can impress me at this point.

I disagree with the OP. The show still has some of the same charm the movies did, but it usually takes a few episodes for all the actors to settle in as a cohesive whole. This may have been made worse by moving from movies to a series.

Yes, I wish Chris Potter was still among the cast, but that is no reason (for me at least) to turn the show off after a single episode. I thought Madison as Grace was enchanting. I don't know how she did it but she somehow managed to bring some of Cassie into her role.

I'm going to give it a few episodes before making a decision.
