if it aint broke dont *beep* it up

I love these charming movies and I have no idea why they felt that Chris Potter had to go. I'm a huge fan of James Denton I think he's totally sexy but he is not needed in the series and it was a stupid choice to just kill off the sweet natured chris potter

It wasn't like somebody out of the blue said: Let's kill off his character. From what I read, they wanted him but he had contractual obligations elsewhere.

He wasn't available and the creators had to go through with the show, so he got cut. I think they handled it in a smart way by making a time jump between the last movie and the tv show. The yearly movies can continue without them interfering with the show, by picking up right after the last movie. The 10 year time jump still allows for a lot of movie stories that include Jake. Not clearly describing the death of Jake could even be deliberate; in that way it could be a movie story all on its own, eventually tieing in to the show.

That would be pretty weird if they did another movie and ta-da Jake is alive.

Well I guess that changes things immensely if Chris Potter was not available for the series. I just assumed (never assume..you make an ASS out of U and ME) since he was not as famous as James Denton they got rid of him. My bad

You pipple mek my ass twitch

I think Chris Potter had other commitments. Check his IMDb page.
