2.give Cassie's daughter more friends instead of that sad sack of a guy friend. She seems sort of aloof with no friends besides him

I think we should generally see more "witchy" behavior in general. Early on, Grace showed signs of the Cassie magic/insight but then nothing. A newcomer would wonder about the title. Also, the show needs to be tightened up & livened in general. The show drags from one commercial to another imho.
A two hour special with such qualities will be pretty hard to keep interest in. I'll be switching over to Star Trek reruns or something.

Yes. A bit weak. In the first episode or two, there Grace seemed to have a certain insight about things -- such as feeling a special connection to the doctor's son and predict things connected to him, but this seems largely to have disappeared.
Just what sort of "witch" we are supposed to be dealing with here has always been somewhat hazy. There were winks in the first movie about it that seemed to sorta suggest something, but it seemed Cassie was really using talismans to give people confidence to do what they didn't previously have the courage to do. Or, she had a sense of calm assurance and comfort with people that she seemed "witchy" but didn't really act like you know Samantha or Sabrina with actual magic powers. The word "coy" comes to mind.
But, maybe, that is what real witches have done over the years in some fashion.
The whole premise of the series is based around the "is she or isn't she" question. Is it magic or not? There is always an explanation (even if it's just intuition) for the events that happen. Those expecting Cassie to start twitching her nose and having things appear and disappear are going to be eternally frustrated, I think.
There has been some recent "witchy" stuff from Grace. She knew she had to be with Brandon, because she sensed that he was going to be in danger (the car accident). But I think that's the most were ever going to get in that regard.
Yes, they are not that sort of witch, but the show needs to toss in a few more coy hints even on that level. I think basically it is a matter of them having a special "sixth sense" about things, an attitude & for Cassie the use of talismans. Wiccans, for example, are often about having a special connection to nature or something. It's not their fault we have stereotypes.

It's getting to be too much like Bewitched without the nose wiggling. Too much paranormal monkey shines. In the movies there was even broom flying suggested. And they can't predict everything that happens before people walk in the door before someone accuses her of paranormal powers. I for one, would call in the Zak from the Ghost Adventures travel channel to investigate Cassie.
shareThe cousin Abigail shows more "magic qualities" than both Cassie and Grace; I love the movies and I really love the show, I hope eventually Grace shows more signs and she shares it w/her mother Cassie, who I think is a witch she just doesn't "exploit" it. Yeah Cassie has helped many people and has that intuition that something is coming there way and Grace shares that same quality. I am glad its renewed and we will have a 2 hour movie (well part of the television show), maybe the writers are developing a way to show that Cassie and Grace are "different", but I could understand Cassie being worried if Grace "accidentally" shows "too much witch power" in public, it would really make people start questioning and they would become too exposed.

I think the series is less about magic and more about an ongoing learning experience.
The only real critical remark I have about Catherine Bell is her willingness to appear on Howard Stern. Why do respectable people find Stern to be entertaining? His audience would never watch a Catherine Bell project anyway.
I just wish that they'd give us movies 6-7 here in Canada, never mind this new movie
