Time gaps between the movies and the series

According to the movies they had Grace when Brandon was 18 and Lori was 16, so they have to be now 33 and 31.

But it seem like Brandon Around 25 and Lori 23 it's huge Gape!!!
They like jump 9-10 from the last movie to the series but for the rest of the characters it's past only 3-4 years.

I think the show worked better like this then the actual timeline, but still weird…

the jumps in time are weird. What I wish they would've done is after the first movie, turn it into a tv series. I think that would've been good.

I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.- Lucille Ball

You're way too technical. It's a show. Just enjoy it. The kids got a little older so just deal with it.

I agree^^; so many shows have done "vanishing acts and/or agi" on different shows - One I remember is on the show Family Matters in the late 80's, they had a very young daughter probably around 6-8 was her age - she went upstairs one episode and never came back. I forgot the actress' name but just saying these networks do whatever they please. I agree they aged Grace and that people should just enjoy the journey they are taking us, so Grace has been SORASed (Soap opera rapid aging syndrome) I think they could do a lot w/her as a teenager and her coming into her "special qualities". I for one can wait - I will always miss Jake though- he's the love of Cassie's life and always will be, but Cassie will eventually move on in the near future (probably w/the doctor) I like James Denton for Cassie's character more than the other guy.

CASSIE/JAKE ALWAY B/C I MISS HIM!

Let's not forget Chuck from Happy Days.

This has been noted -- it works better if only a few years past since the film, but they wanted Grace to be a teenager. This skewers everything else. Best to not think too much about it.

They wanted to keep the original cast even if it meant bending the timeline/ages.

You forgot your thingy!- Eddie, Empire Records

Basically the issue is they wanted Bailee Madison or someone that age for Grace.

So, Grace had to age ten years while only a few years of real time passed. They have a new person playing her brother, so if they wanted, could have chose someone older. Her sister is played by the same actress, who is youngish looking as is. The mom/grandfather doesn't really matter -- can pass for various ages.

So, for me, only the sister is really a problem, and don't care really. She isn't that important for one thing. My question is where is the grandfather's wife?

My question is where is the grandfather's wife?

Yes, that is my question too.
Also when did the family move in to Gray House?
Someone in the series calls George Cassie's father-in-law and he tells Brandon he never wanted Jake to be a cop. Wasn't he the father of Jake's first wife, so he's not really Grace's grandfather or Cassie's father-in-law?

This also happened in the movie series, when Cassie got married Lori was a little girl, in the next movie set just after the marriage she was a 16 year old.

the age different it doesn't bother me i see they do that in soap opera all the
time me i always picture the character to be the same age like the actor is in
real life that how i picture it in my mind eye
