She's so immature. I'm sure that contributes to his lack of interest. It's hard to imagine spending a lifetime with a woman in her mid-30's who acts like Sonia does.

Whenever someone says they are a "hopeless romantic" they are actually taking pride in the fact they are delusional. Think about it for a minute
A smart person is patient and doesn't put finding the right partner on a strict timeline. They don't become desperate and "settle" for a bad situaction.
But a hopeless romantic is a train wreck. Either they pass up promising relationships because it doesn't "fee right" or "set off bells and whistles" in their head, or they pursue difficult relationships thinking that the challenge makes it somehow more worthy of someone like themselves. It's comical
