Do you think Tom will divorce?

I've met guys like Tom before: good-looking, free spirit, need constant attention, nature lover.

Guys like that usually don't want to settle down till age 40-45, not 28. Either that or they're major players/cheaters.

You forgot superficial, shallow, smug & boring.

reply

I think Tom and Lilly might choose to stay together but not make it past the 6 month mark.

reply

Like Vanessa and Tres did. When the cameras left so did the attraction and attention.

reply

You forgot "well hung".

Crap, did I say that? Erase, erase, erase.

True, there are some women who swear that size matters to the point that if a man doesn't measure up then he's out! Just another unnecessary judgement we put on each other.

OT: good to hear from you this morning...be well and be kind (but you usually are!)

reply

That is a very good question. Did I blink and miss that?

reply

What evidence do you have that he is well hung? I think if he were, Lily would treat him with more respect.

reply

It's a joke, people.

It's ok. Calm down. I began my reply with lol...and tried to add to it, not attack you!!

With him, it's a little more of a guessing game than with Lillian. I found her referencing "if we stay together" and wanting to get away to "solidify" their relationship a little disingenuous though. Perhaps the participants are encouraged to speak in vague language to increase suspense. She has been all up on his jock since the moment she met him at the altar and is constantly talking (in her over dramatic way) about how into him she is and how she's falling for him, ad nauseum. The likelihood that she will elect to divorce (at least on her end) is pretty low, in my opinion.

reply

I don't think he has any intention of staying with her. Being the free spirit, fly by the seat of your pants kind of guy, this was just entertainment to him. He also seems like he would cheat on her if they stayed together. In one episode when her family and friends came over, you can see him eyeing down one of her friends/cousins. He is a creep in my opinion. Plus he needs a girl like himself who likes to "rough it" on a dilapidated bus.

I don't know what Lily will decide because sometimes the editing tries to trick us.

EDIT: is Dr.Pepper serious when she says Lily and Tom have more in common than they think?? What are these "experts" smoking???

reply

Lately, it seems like he's been picking at more things he doesn't like about Lillian. He thinks she's pretty much high maintenance, she complains, he feels she doesn't listen to him or pay him enough attention. In the beginning, I thought they'd stay together, but now I'm not so sure. If they do, I agree they may not make it far.

reply

Well, I guess I was wrong. I still don't buy them together, though. I find them cringe worthy. Time will tell. More power to them if they are truly happy

reply

They were my favorite couple. But I'd be more surprised if Tom and Lilly split than Nick and Sonia. I think the latter are just two co-dependent people with low esteem, whereas Tom and Lilly seem more genuine.

reply

I agree. I found the reunion episode cringe worthy. Especially when they were talking about all the things Lillian had gotten rid of. If she wanted to donate things she wasn't using and just hadn't gotten to it, then great. But the whole thing had an air "Tom thinks Lilly has too much stuff, so she got rid of some to please him".
